Bad Wörishofen is a very well knowen Spa town (Kneipp-Spa) in Bavaria. In the region of Donau-Iller in “Mittelschwaben”, 80km west of Munich and 35km east of Memmingen.

Sebastian Kneipp was a Pastor of Bad Wörishofen and from here he spread out his knowlege from the healing power of water, the basis of the Kneipp-Cure.

Around 1889 he started his health Spa Business under his guidance, the Pastor of St. Justina. His Therapy, healing many symptomes with water, attracted many rich and health conscious people into this town.

Between 1891 and 1896 in a construction boom 120 new builings were built, mainly hotels and boardinghouses. In 1920 the town Wörishofen got the rating “Bad”.

In the beginning of the 21. Century a new Thermal Spa was opened. Even if many residents thought the traditional cure would get lost, this Spa is now completly integrated and very popular for Bad Wörishofen.

The perfect climate of the 620 to 700m over sealevel and the northern edge of the “Allgäu”-Hills makes Bad Wörishofen perfekt for sports and free time activities. Very liked is cycling and hiking in this area.
